Visitor at Christmas Eve Mass

The woman who wrote this piece desribes her self as a "recovering liberal" . She is a psychotherapist in Berekely, CA. Apparently she had wanted to go to a worship service at an Episcopal Church but was looking for one that did not have a political agenda. The Episcopal priest told her in a very non pastoral manner, IMO, "Then don't try us.". She then went to a RC church for a Christmas Eve Mass. Although I'm not a RC I found her account very interesting and rather moving:
