Bath Tub Mary
I have been feeling rather nostalgic lately.
I have been taking note of the Catholic yard decor when I am out and about. Various statues of Mary and St. Francis. I remember that my Grandparents had a statue of St. Francis in the garden (combo bird bath).
Sorry, there isn't really a topic here. Just an observation that since I have moved back to my Catholic Faith, everything looks different. The statues, the Crucifix, the Mass even, watching "Angles and Demons" seeing the spendor of the vestments that I remember from my childhood has struck a chord. Like coming home to a nice warm house.

I don''t see a lot of Catholic yard decor, here,
though one of my neighbors does have a lovely little grottowith a statue of Mary in their front garden. It must be nice to see this when you're walking around!

I''d love to get a St Francis for the yard
But I notice that they're a bit expensive. I also think people put less in their yards where you can see it because people vandalize or steal so often now. I'd put my St Francis in the back yard.

When I was living in Michigan during the Bush-Gore Presidential race, a
neighbor down the street had a statue of the Blessed Mother right next
to an Al Gore sign. I always thought that was an interesting juxtaposition.
