Hives along with the other symptoms sounds like it might possibly be a food allergy. Poor guy. :(

Yesterday, a fever of 104, chills, crippling body ache and hives...

Today, no hives, no chills, no body aches, fever of 99.5.

and I hope you stay well. Did you eat anything that nobody else in your family had that could be the cause?

Make that "pray". Yesterday on another forum, someone asked me if English wasn' t my native language because my spelling was so poor. I said "English is my native language, but accurate typing IS a foreign language for me." ;)

and my kids had hot dogs. Maybe that was it.

Sometimes fish that is not good can do just that-cause hives and chills and a high fever.
