I need to COMMIT to not looking over the fence
Every time I read a post over there, my IQ takes a strong overhand punch to the face.
I need to go cold turkey. AND, if my syracuse dot com sources are correct, I need to religiously oppress my children by making them dress gender appropriate while using their right hands.

I loved that.
Right now, it's enough for me to not even be remotely tempted to post anything, for the most part. The left-handed thing cracked me up, as did the weird exchange about birth control that grew increasingly more vulgar. I will say this: left to its own devices, over there has not become the grandiose place of lofty thought that was promised.

I need to stop
making fun of Rico's continual need to resusitate old handles who use the exact same phrases he does. I haven't looked it since much earlier today, so I am geting better
I figure if I go cold turkey it just frustrates some of them who may post increasingly abusive messages. For the trolls it's all an attempt to get a response.
Then I need to stop mentioning them here-because of course they look over here. They are just too cowardly to post -the trolls, that is.
It wouldn't become a grandiose place of lofty thought, because if the majority of people are trollers thaey have nothing to say except when they are baiting Christians.

Don''t hate me because
I'm left-handed. The self-loathing is bad enough.

Well look, Harold,
I have it on good authority that Catholicism frowns on left-handedness, and always has. Just be happy we let you use your hand now instead of tying it behind your back and making you hop up and down. :bball:

Self loathing?
I would have thought the bag over your head would have dealt with tha, Haroldt. I suppose you could put one over your hand too. . :o
Some of my best friends and relatives are left handed-really. :P

I don''t know
if Religion had anything to do with it, but my mom had her left hand tied behind her
and she was forced to learn how to operate right handed.
In the end all it did was make here ambidextrous.
There does seem to be a stigma attached, at least in the past.

When did your mom go to school?
I think there was period, I'm thinking 1950's or so, I don't know how long-lasting and how widespread, when teachers were to try to correct left-handedness.

Also Wikipedia says
that left-handedness was terribly looked down upon for three centuries--but then of course it also says [citation needed].

Corecting left handedness
has been going for a while. They did it to my mother who grew up as a school kid in the 30's.

Repeat after me, I will not look over the fence, I will not look over the fence....
I peeked over this morning. My reaction was, "Thank you Joe."

My paternal grandmother and maternal grandfather
were both left handed and forced to write with their right hands. Apparently, forcing them to write with their right hands didn't alter their DNA...
